Raised in Montezuma, Ohio, Dr. Kunkler graduated from Marion Local High School before attending The Ohio State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, graduating summa cum laude in 2019. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, also graduating summa cum laude in 2023.
Dr. Kunkler enjoys caring for patients of all ages and is passionate about providing comprehensive, preventative eye care. Her clinical interests include primary care, ocular disease management, and myopia control. She is committed to staying current with advancements in optometry to provide evidence-based, comprehensive care tailored to each patient's lifestyle and visual needs.
An active member of the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association, Dr. Kunkler is passionate about giving back to her community. She participates in the InfantSEE program, providing comprehensive eye and vision assessments for infants ages six to twelve months at no cost, and volunteers through the Ohio Optometric Association's Realeyes Program, educating students from preschool through high school about eye health, eye safety, and the importance of healthy vision.
Dr. Kunkler resides in Yorkshire, Ohio, with her husband, Henry (IV), their sons, Henry (V) and Liam, and their black Labrador, Dexter. Outside the office, she enjoys discovering new coffee shops, exploring the outdoors, and making memories through family adventures and travel, finding joy in the simple moments that keep her grounded and inspired.
